SMC, also known as DO-214AB, is the largest size in multiple package variants for general purpose transient voltage suppression TVS. Capacitance @ Frequency is available in uni-directional and bi-directional polarities.  Bi-directional devices have no polarity indicator

The SMCJ series has been designed to protect sensitive equipment against surges below 1500W and against electro-static discharges according to IEC 61000-4-2, and  Solderable per MIL-STD-202,Method 208.SMCJ are package in SMC (SMC footprint in accordance with IPC 7531 standard).
